The UIC College of Pharmacy, Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services seek a Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist, Coordinator of Specialty Pharmacy Services Business to join our team.
Clinical Faculty responsibilities include the provision of didactic lectures at various Health Science Colleges and serving as a preceptor for student pharmacists, and residents. Scholarly activities, including presentations and publications, are an expectation as well.
Clinical Pharmacist responsibilities include providing pharmaceutical and direct patient care and
Coordinator of Specialty Pharmacy Services Business responsibilities include business analytics, preparing documents for specialty pharmacy network submissions, establishing and maintaining network and accreditation relationships, internal specialty pharmacy performance evaluation and reporting, external reporting to payers and sponsors and accreditation organizations, and growth management in specialty pharmacy. The successful candidate will lead the Specialty Pharmacy Regulatory Compliance Committee and Marketing Committee.
Candidates must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy PharmD program with a PGY1 Managed Care or Specialty Pharmacy residency or a Masters Degree in Business Administration is desirable. At least two years experience in specialty pharmacy with a managed care organization or pharmacy benefit management company is highly desirable. Candidates must possess knowledge and skills such that they qualify for a non-tenured faculty position with the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the UIC college of Pharmacy. Level is commensurate with experience. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for Illinois licensure as a professional pharmacist. Board Certification and bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desired.
