THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Director for the Oncology Services and Regulatory Compliance is responsible for the leadership and administration of nursing care and clinical in the UC Davis Comprehensive Center outpatient clinics, inpatient oncology units and Cancer Care Network. The Director oversees the clinical practice and standard of care provided by registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, medical assistants, radiation therapists, social workers, dietitians, genetic counselors and technicians. The incumbent works in close partnership with the Executive Director of Oncology Services, Physician-in-Chief of the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Administrative Director of Oncology Services, clinical and nurse managers, and medical directors of each clinic in this matrixed role. The Director is responsible for the clinical practice of the Divisions clinical support staff and the ambulatory care per diem clinical support staff. The Clinical Director of Oncology Services is responsible for the management and administration of all facets of the clinical oncology program including all federal/state regulatory compliance requirements. This Clinical Director is the clinical leader for the comprehensive program of patient care delivery related to oncology encompassing the Adult and Pediatric Oncology clinics, Adult and Pediatric Infusion Centers, the Stem Cell Transplant Program, Radiation Oncology, Supportive Oncology, Satellite Infusion Centers, and the Cancer Care Network. The Clinical Director partners with division and hospital leadership, Inpatient Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant, and the Cancer Center Network (offsite affiliations and LLCs). The Director reports directly to the Executive Director of Oncology Services with secondary reporting to the Chief Patient Care Services Officer in a matrixed reporting structure. Working closely with the Administrative Director of Oncology Services and the Director of the Cancer Center Network, this position is a critical member of the Oncology Service leadership team.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in the ambulatory setting
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Master's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with Master's degree in related field.
Current license as a registered nurse in the State of California
Experience with or in-depth knowledge of the magnet Recognition Program
Knowledge of the Joint Commission standards and CA Title 22/24, and active participant in The Joint Commission survey
Nurse Executive Board Certified (NE-BC or NEA-BC)
American Academy of Ambulatory Nursing Board Certified (AAACN)
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
