The Athletic Compliance Officer, under direction, coordinates, updates, and supervises programs to ensure compliance of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulations.
Prepare, educate and distribute educational materials, rules interpretations, compliance reports and handbooks to coaches, boosters, student-athletes, faculty, staff and administration.
Monitor the requirements set forth by the NCAA, SWAC and institution regarding the recruiting process, official and unofficial visits and phone/ recruiting logs.
Input data and maintain the athletic compliance recruiting system, calendars, files and required NCAA and conference forms.
Update and maintain the institutional and NCAA student-athlete database.
Secure and submit four-year transfer releases (incoming/outgoing)
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in applicable field
One year of related experience in athletic compliance
Job Close Date:
3-5 years of experience in a Division I athletic compliance role or with the NCAA
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
