The Inpatient Senior Adult Behavioral Health RN position supports themission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizingquality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focuson medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Geropsych RN oversees and directs thecare of the geriatric person with psychiatric diagnosis. The RN will have basic physical assessmentskills and demonstrate ability to care for the geriatric person with aco-existing psychiatric diagnosis. An ability to provide knowledgeable,empathetic care of the person requiring is essential. Serves as primary nurse leading thecollaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Functions to seek methods to improve patientcare on an ongoing basis. When the needarises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
