The LPCA Housekeeper is a valuable member to the on-site management team. They are responsible for the overall upkeep of the interior image. Depending on the size and age of the community, the position consists of a variety of duties. The following qualifications must be met before consideration for employment as porter:
Must be able to lift 25-40 lbs. on a regular basis.
All other duties will be assigned according to their urgency, including but not limited to the following:
Keep property, management office, amenity spaces, hallways and common areas clean by inspecting property each morning and picking up any trash littering the grounds, cleaning any messes etc.
Fluff, straighten, dust, clean or re-arrange furniture/tapestries in common spaces to original placement if in disarray
Keep mailrooms and other storage areas clean--pick up trash, sweep floors, remove dated notices from bulletin boards, etc.
Replace lightbulbs in common areas and breezeways as needed.
Clean common area restrooms, fitness areas/equipment, windows, floors, surface areas, common area kitchen, offices daily by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, wiping down and/or sanitizing daily and possibly more often if needed
Replenish supplies/towels/paper or other items in bathrooms, fitness areas or other amenity common or office spaces
Clean/sanitize elevators and other high traffic areas daily
Walk stairwells and sweep/mop regularly
Assist with apartment make-readies as requested--trash vacant units, deep cleaning, check appliances and smoke detector, etc.
Clean air conditioning vents and replace filter in all vacant apartments.
Replace air filters as scheduled for all occupied apartments.
Clean pool area--hose down area, pick up trash, straighten chairs, etc.
Perform light painting duties as directed
Clean vacant apartments between residents
Assist the Property Manager, Lead Service Manager or Service Technician as requested
A minimum of 1 year of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.
Able to be on-call for responding to after-hours emergencies.
