A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications or related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in computer facilities operations which has included at least two (2) years of management experience. A Masters degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience exclusive of the management experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or other relevant field, and ten (10) years professional experience in enterprise network and/or systems administration/engineering, of which five (5) years must have been in a leadership role. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. • Enterprise experience working with Ethernet and other data transport technologies in local and wide area networks, with layer three and above protocols including TCP/IP, and with application and authentication protocols such as HTTP/S, LDAP/S, TACACS, RADIUS, Oracle DB, Microsoft DB, SMTP, and SSH. • Enterprise experience working with server and storage systems and other datacenter technologies in on-premise and remote locations, including both Microsoft Windows and Redhat/CentOS Linux, Metro fiber channel-based Storage Area Networks, clustering, local/global Traffic Managers (i.e. F5). • Significant experience with enterprise network switching, wireless, and routing protocols/technologies, including SDN, VXLAN, GPON, SNMP, RIP/2, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and TACACS. • Demonstrated significant knowledge and experience with network and systems operations/engineering management and administration systems and tools, and with cross-disciplinary (network/server) diagnostic procedures, skills, and strategies. • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including ability to work as part of a diverse and cross-functional team under difficult and highly stressful conditions. • Experience supervising highly technical and experienced personnel. • Demonstrated ability to drive and manage technical projects to completion on schedule, budget, and within defined scope.
