Assistant Professor of Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology Position Description
The University of California at Davis is pleased to announce the recruitment for a tenure-track faculty position in environmental chemistry and toxicology. The successful candidate will join the Department of Environmental Toxicology in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the rank of Assistant Professor. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to environmental processes and impacts, chemical remediation, food chemistry/toxicology, biological chemistry or molecular toxicology. Criteria for appointment include: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a field of chemistry, biochemistry, toxicology, molecular biology, biological chemistry, or a related field, a record of excellence in scholarly research, and demonstrable potential to establish a competitively-funded research program. The appointee will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Environmental Toxicology curriculum, be actively involved in undergraduate advising, curricular development and department and university service. The appointee is also expected to guide and mentor graduate students and participate in research and outreach/engagement programs consistent with the mission of the CA Agricultural Experiment Station.
