Serves as the strategic partner between OR Operations, Quality, and Finance. Provides financial and operational analysis and consultation to ensure achievement of system business objectives and support of mission to increase quality, decrease cost, and improve service. Works closely with the clinical, operational, quality, financial, and support leaders. Develop, implement, and monitor operating/capital budgets, business plans, and quality initiatives within Surgical Services. Identifies, collaborates, and supports initiatives to improve financial and quality operations and performance. Ensures successful business operations of service area by planning, administering, directing, and coordinating all assigned business activities including information system operations and integrity. Serves as liaison to Finance, IT, HIM, Regulatory and other consultants to assure compliance with billing and coding. Proactively supports the efforts that will ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a safe environment at Swedish Medical Center.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelors degree in health related field required. Masters degree preferred.
Previous OR experience preferred. Management experience preferred with exceptional ability to be self-directed and highly organized.
Outstanding ability to communicate verbally to a wide array of people/disciplines and written skills that are consistent with communicating a plan of care and maintaining surgeon's preference cards. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Outlook). Basic knowledge of process improvement methodologies a plus. Knowledge of various professional disciplines and their potential contribution to patient care needs. Flexibility in work hours to meet the needs of patients, physicians, and staff.
