The Naveen Jindal School of Management seeks to fill one or two open-rank tenure-system positions in the Organization, Strategy, and International Management area. Our focus is on the candidates with (1) a sufficient record for publication in the “A” journals in management related areas, specifically the list of 24 journals underpinning the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings™ (see top100.utdallas.edu) plus Journal of Applied Psychology; (2) an earned doctorate in management or a related field; and (3) a demonstrated record in research and teaching. Experience in successfully working with doctoral students will be a plus. It is preferable for candidates for positions at the Assistant Professor rank to have three or more years of experience after obtaining the doctorate.
While our preference is for more seasoned candidates that have had the opportunity to develop a research record, we will consider rookies as well. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, depending on the qualifications of the candidate. Appointee must have a PhD degree in Strategy, Organization Theory, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related discipline prior to the beginning of the Fall term of 2020.
The Jindal School of Management offers degrees at the PhD, Master’s and Undergraduate levels. Appointments will be effective August 1, 2020. Salary and Research support will be competitive. Applicants should submit a letter of application; a complete curriculum vitae (including educational history, teaching, research, pertinent work experience, and a list of publications and presentations); statements of educational philosophy and research interests; teaching evaluations; an example of at least one publication or research paper, and the names and full contact information for at least three professional references.
An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline and a record of productivity and professional achievement.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Minimum experience: Earned PhD in management (strategy, organization theory, human resource management, and organizational behavior) or relevant areas and demonstrate a strong record of research and scholarly publication in top tier management journals.
A strong record of research and scholarly publication in top tier management journals with an emphasis on Academy of Management Journal is preferred.
