Provides quality care and assists with early learning educational instruction to meet the needs of children ages 4 weeks - 28 months and ages 2-12 years enrolled in the Early Childhood Learning Center and Rainbow Center. This position will assist with implementing the activities in the classrooms, indoors and outdoors, and for the afternoon curriculum and hours of the program. The position works as a team with other Program Specialists. This position will assist with leading student staff to supplement a staff/child ratio per DCYF in the program.
Assist with clerical support at ECLC, paperwork, office duties, phones, welcoming parents and children and student staff.
AT TIME OF HIRE, successful candidate must possess the following:
Valid Certification in CPR-Community, Infant and Child and First Aid
Negative TB Test
2-hour HIV/Blood Bourne Pathogen Training Certification
Possession of valid Food Handler’s Permit
MERIT account with cleared Portable Background Check and fingerprints thought DCYF
Applicable CWU Trainings as required (to be completed asap after hire)
Experience with children
30 hours of Basic STARS training and continuing 10 hours of STARS yearly,CPR adult and infant, and First Aid, HIV / AIDS
