Responsibilities Head-Royce School is seeking substitute teachers for sixth-through twelfth-grade Spanish. Inclusion on our substitute teacher list opens up the chance to be called upon, on an as-needed basis, by teachers across our Middle and Upper Schools’ Spanish program (from introductory levels to AP Spanish Language) for one-day or longer substitute teaching assignments.
The school seeks applicants who have a strong academic background, experience in multicultural education, an awareness of ecological literacy, an interest in project-based learning, an understanding of adolescents, and a genuine fondness for working with students.
Qualifications The successful applicant will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, with a Master’s in the field or Education preferred. In addition, the candidate will demonstrate excellent speaking proficiency and will have familiarity with the best pedagogical approaches to teaching another language.
