Coordinate and manage the operational, financial, and personnel functions of a large and/or complex specialized project(s) for a designated department under very limited supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and manage the administrative, financial, and personnel activities of the employer engagement projects.
Develop project goals and objectives and revise as necessary; develop and implement a comprehensive plan for delivery and assessment of project objectives and goals
Develop project budgets; disseminate funding and monitor expenses against budget allocations.
Oversee research employment and industry trends, strategic planning and program implementation of industry engagement and partnerships plans to grow UW’s employer base; and strengthen and maintain lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with current and future employers. Manage employer relationships in Handshake.
Direct the development of the UW Employer Engagement Plan in partnership with campus entities and industry partners. Set Key Performance indicators to strategically grow UW’s employer base and impactful industry partnerships. Provide an annual report of activities and demonstrable metrics for the KPI’s
Direct and oversee successful implementation of current and prospective employer engagement initiatives including on-campus recruiting events, career fair participation and other related activities, such as employer facilitated career education and experiential learning programs.
Identify Wyoming locations and contacts for Live Local Work Local programs to introduce UW students to Wyoming communities and employers.
Coordinate and travel with campus partners on student career Treks to expose students to regional and national employers and alumni.
Coordinate campus and employer communications with other employer relation staff to ensure alignment with the vision and minimize conflicting messages to industry partners and university stakeholders.
Coordinate the Cowboy2Cowboy informational interview and mentor program and supervise the engagement Coordinator in the UWAA
Report to the UWAA Board and ACES leadership
May provide academic and/or career advising for specific project.
Represent the department on University or division/college committees, as directed.
May perform additional special assignments.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience: 3 years work-related experience, including public relations, sales, employer relations or human relations in a business or non-profit or government environment.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Required education, licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:
Demonstrated experience building new relationships and maintaining them with employers, students, faculty, and administrators or similar relations building environments.
Attention to detail
