Position Summary: Under the direction of assigned Administrator, plan, coordinate, organize, direct and manage the district’s supply chain functions including procurement, contracting, distribution and warehouse/mail operations; coordinate inventory and disposition of district property; guide the district’s contracting process and procedures and perform specialized and complex duties associated with bids and public works contracts; recommend improved procurement policies; cultivate sourcing strategies that mitigate risk and maximize vendor engagement; plan and implement automated record-keeping and controls; supervise, train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree in public or business administration, or a closely related field and five years of recent increasingly responsible experience in purchasing and contract administration in a public agency, including at least three years of management or supervisory experience.
Additional Salary Information: Annual transportation allowance and communication allowance.
