The HR Coordinator provides support to the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities & Duties include:
Post open positions on NCTC website, as well as appropriate advertising venues and through EmpMail.
Assist hiring managers with PeopleAdmin, including creating user accounts, notifying managers when position closes, repost position as needed, etc.
Maintain HR computer for external candidates and new hires to use when needed.
Answer candidate questions.
Extend offers of employment and ensure appropriate authorization is received via status forms
Send and receive new hire paperwork; submit requests for IT access
Enter new employee information into Jenzabar; send required information to payroll.
Conduct criminal background checks
Respond to employment verifications
Serve as a backup in prescreening candidates before the interview process.
Cross-train in various HR functions, answering HR questions as able; relaying questions to proper HR personnel when further information is required.
Maintaining personnel files, including scanning on Docubase.
Assist with employee events, including annual recognition ceremony.
Other duties as assigned.
Subject to criminal background check. Resume & cover letter required in addition to application. Pay grade 107. Salary to commensurate with experience. Regular office hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 8am-noon. Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm and off on Fridays.
Associate's degree required. Bachelor’s degree in HR or closely related field preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Organizational skills. Excellent people skills. Able to handle multiple projects and tasks. Computer skills a must.
Successful candidates should have two years of previous HR or related experience.
Basic knowledge of human resources best practices.
