The primary responsibility of the Conflict Resolution Specialist is to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of employer and employee relationships, and employee to employee relationships, that contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivation and morale in the workplace. The Conflict Resolution Specialist will a) create and maintain a positive and effective alternative dispute resolution program, b) provide quick and effective response designed to promote resolution of employment disputes, c) develop and conduct proactive educational programs regarding dispute resolutions, and d) respond to and conduct reviews of Academic & Student Life (ASL) workplace issues.
Bachelor’s degree OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
Investigative experience in workplace behavioral issues
Ability to conduct interviews, internal reviews and investigations as an objective and neutral party; ability to interpret policies and procedures and adhere to prescribed process
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and emotional intelligence skills
Straightforward and neutral approach to review process and interactions with those involved in the process
Ability to manage and work with conflict, including interacting with individuals who may be experiencing high levels of stress
Strong writing skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing work as issues arise, and able to meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience promoting cultural competency, diversity, inclusivity and workplace civility
Organizational development, mentoring and coaching experience
Experience developing and presenting educational materials
