Loma Linda University PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program is fully accredited by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). The PGY2 Pediatrics resident will develop the knowledge, attitude, and skills necessary to become an advanced pharmaceutical care practitioner in the area of pediatrics. The program also has a focus on medication safety for the Children’s Hospital. Through its affiliation with the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy, the PGY2 Pediatrics resident will also develop the knowledge, attitude, and skills necessary to become an effective pharmacy educator, with opportunities to teach in various settings. The PGY2 Pediatrics program offers the opportunity to experience a variety of pediatric settings. Required learning experiences include General Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU, Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Transplant. Multiple elective learning experiences are offered as well. Loma Linda University is dedicated to the training of competent, clinical pharmacists in specialized areas.
