The Citrix Administrator II is primarily responsible for supporting, monitoring, and managing Harris Health's enterprise Citrix environment, including application virtualization infrastructure, Citrix service policies, processes, provisioning, standards development, service optimization and improvement.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.; Citrix Certified Professional CCP-AD
Work Experience: 8 or more years of Information technology; 3 years or more Citrix Infrastructure Components experience; Experience working with technical products, vendors, and hardware and software families of technologies; working with Citrix virtualization design principles and product components configurations.
Equipment Operated: 8 years of experience with HP server hardware, virtual, and physical servers using VMWare/XenServer.

TYPICAL DUTIES THAT MAY BE PERFORMED:
Conducts technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of complex Citrix applications hosting requests, configuration tools, and deployment methodologies to ensure that all are current and functional.
Participates in the implementation of Citrix system upgrades and modifications, including planning, testing, scheduling and coordination. Ensures that change management and defined security procedures for all assigned systems are executed in accordance with client policies and procedures.
Coordinates with application service owners, managers and customer application experts to ensure that applications are supportable within Harris Health Citrix environment
Analyzes monitoring and maintenance data and implements changes as required to achieve optimum performance. Makes recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels.
Minimizes client service interruptions through early identification and resolution of problems. Assists with problem management activities, provides tier-three support and guides less experienced staff in problem resolution.
Possesses knowledge of monitoring tools, procedures, and deliverable standards pertaining to Citrix projects and services.
Subject matter expert in assigned Citrix projects. May serve in the role of project lead, assuming responsibility for oversight of most or all aspects of a project. Undertakes research and/or evaluation Citrix projects as assigned, providing formal documentation of findings and conclusions according to established department standards.
Provide technical support of infrastructure through the adherence of service level agreements; Facilitates the transition from application certification to support to ensure that appropriate support is available to clients in a timely and efficient manner.
Conduct ongoing application and desktop publication technology assessments, research new products and features, and develop cost effective recommendations and plans for optimizing Remote Access and virtual environments via Citrix.
