Lecturer, full-time, Director of Admissions and Student Services, Seattle campus
The MEDEX Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington Seattle seeks to hire a full time faculty member with teaching, admissions and students services activities. This is a 12-month service period position. The anticipated start date is November 2019.
Primary faculty responsibilities include developing and delivering lectures to faculty and students, scholarly activity as well as other duties as assigned. Program administration activities include the management of the student admissions process and student services. This position serves as the Director of Admissions and Student Services and will provide management and administrative oversight in major areas of program operations, and support across four campuses for the Physician Assistant Program in Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma, Washington, and Anchorage, Alaska, and in developing remote campuses. The Director will teach curriculum design and delivery skills to MEDEX faculty, deliver lectures in academic specialties and professional role development courses. This position will use Macintosh computers, and FileMaker Pro Database. The Director will display a commitment to developing and supporting diversity and inclusion in the work and learning environments. This positions will work in a team atmosphere. This position supervises three staff members. This position is a non-tenure track annual appointment, renewable annually at the faculty rank of Lecturer, depending on experience and qualifications.

Doctoral Degree or foreign equivalent in education, public affairs, marketing, counseling or related field
Eight to ten years of increasingly responsible work experience with educational administration or supervisory responsibility
Experience working with faculty and adult students
Experience in UW or interrelated systems, for example but not limited to student database (SDB), Catalyst (survey tool), Canvas (learning management systems) or (CASPA), Physician Assistant Program Applicant System
