As a CT/3D (Hybrid) Technologist Specialist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will perform at an advanced level and will be accountable to perform CT scans and 3D post-processing at an advanced level. This seasoned technologist will have hybrid responsibilities operating CT equipment (eg Siemens Dual Energy CT scanner) to perform all types of CT scans and will create and provide 3D images and analysis using advanced software (eg Vital, SyngoVia, etc.).
You will demonstrate a high level of clinical and technical skills in performing routine and advanced CT imaging including advanced cardiac scans. You will have advanced knowledge and understanding in cardiac imaging (including cardiac anatomy and physiology) is required. Experience and ability to perform CTA, calcium scoring and valve studies is required. As superior knowledge using advanced modality processing algorithms utilizing software to visualize gout and perform metal reduction studies. Will have experienced level knowledge of anatomy to fulfill sub-specialized requests on all types of imaging studies including Cardiac, Muskeletoskeletal and soft tissue imaging. Makes complex clinical/technical judgments, and is competent in the field of certification. You will functions with minimal direction from supervisory personnel. You will demonstrate & provide quality patient care and may perform procedures on the neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the age and developmental issues of the patient populations(s) being served.
When post-processing, the hybrid technologist is expected to demonstrate a high level of clinical and technical skills to use raw data from CT and MRI scans to produce 2D and/or 3D advanced renderings. You will use advanced processing software (eg SyngoVia, Vital, etc.) to fulfill physician orders for analysis and interpretation. Advanced anatomical knowledge of radiographic anatomy (mainly CT and MRI) is required. Examples of advanced post-processing include TEVAR, TAVAR, CCS analysis, Resolve, GI organ volumetric rendering, vessel analysis, vessel fly through, colon fly through, cinematic rendering, high-resolution and small FOV creation of advanced MSK renderings, 3D printing templating, etc. The technologist is required to troubleshoot and repair and enhance images of subpar or low diagnostic quality.
You will demonstrate continuous self-improvement, make effective contributions to the section, and serve as a role model for peers, students, and other staff members. Accountable for all applicable documentation relative to procedure performance and patient and family education. During the absence of the Team Leader, the CT Technologist specialist will maintain an effective and efficient workflow without jeopardizing the quality of patient care. Additional duties may include general and administrative support functions necessary for routine operations. Adheres to Cedars-Sinai Health System Corporate Compliance Plan, Code of Conduct, departmental policies and procedures, and complies with Job Hazard Analyst protocols.
