Associate Physician - Palliative Medicine and Hospice
South Sacramento - Northern California
Our South Sacramento Department of Palliative Medicine is currently seeking a BE/BC Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our multidisciplinary palliative care and hospice teams that provide outstanding care to our patients living with serious illness. The clinical work spans three clinical settings that include staffing inpatient consultations (65%), followed by clinical work with our hospice team (30%), as well as occasional outpatient clinical coverage (5%). The position currently includes weekends but no overnight call. The ideal candidate is someone who has interests and/or experience in leadership, education, clinical innovation and/or program development. This candidate will have the opportunity to care for patients alongside a robust and diverse team of nurses, chaplains, social workers and additional support staff. We care for patients of many backgrounds in the East Bay and see this as a distinguishing feature of our program. We are seeking a physician with HPM fellowship training.
