Warner Bros. corporate functions provide specialized knowledge and expertise to support our vast portfolio of businesses like DC Comics, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television Group and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Manager, Corp Bus Dev and Strategy for the Corp. Business Dev. & Strategy department. The Manager, Corporate Business Development & Strategy position supports Warner Bros. in the development of strategic growth opportunities and the execution of M&A and corporate transactions. The team collaborates with partners across all Warner Bros. divisions – including Theatrical, Television, Home Entertainment, Games (console and mobile), DC Entertainment and Consumer Products – to develop strategic analyses and recommendations for Warner Bros. senior management on high profile projects and in a fast-paced environment.
Specific responsibilities include: (1) providing financial and strategic support in executing mergers & acquisitions, partnerships, investments and joint ventures; (2) evaluating new business development initiatives; and (3) assisting in the development of global long-term strategy for Warner Bros. divisions.
Supports Warner Bros. divisions in the analysis and execution of mergers & acquisitions, including preparing financial models and valuation analyses, developing strategic rationale, conducting due diligence and reviewing agreements.
Prepares financial models for new business development initiatives (e.g. partnerships, joint ventures, equity investments, expansion into complementary businesses).
Closely monitors industry trends and competitive dynamics, and prepares presentations summarizing industry segments or reporting on individual companies.
Serves as liaison between Warner Bros. and partnership companies; analyzes reports provided by those companies and prepares summaries for Warner Bros. management.
Maintains relationships with Warner Bros. divisions to assist with strategy and investments as well as coordinate projects that span multiple divisions.
Supports Warner Bros. senior executives in the preparation of materials to be presented to Time Warner’s senior management and Board of Directors.
What do we require from you?
MBA degree highly preferred.
Minimum three years of work experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or related media & entertainment field.
Experience preparing complex financial models and valuation analyses for mergers & acquisitions or similar strategic initiatives.
Experience analyzing detailed company financial statements.
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong research and analytical skills required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet various deadlines.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of media landscape and trends required.
