The Department Operations Manager is responsible for managing event booking and coordination for an in-house events space, general office management and providing high level administrative support to the Executive Director, Associate Director and special events team. Duties include overseeing the operations for the event space, including supervision of a front desk coordinator, records filing and retrieval, managing complex calendars, providing general administrative and office management support, managing department expenditures and various event budgets, preparing memoranda and presentations and meeting planning.
The Department Operations Manager will also work to streamline systems and organize the flow of information for the best use of time and resources of the Special Events Department; manage and analyze data and ensure timely processing of payments and budget reconciliation. Provides on-going communication with campus leaders, administrators and off-campus business contacts and manages other special projects as needed.
