Summary: The NurseInformaticist provides Nursing leadership to support the ongoing developmentand implementation of an enterprise-wide, integrated electronic health record(EHR) that supports the delivery of quality patient care across all thecommunities that Cook Children's Health Care System (CCHCS) serves. The NurseInformaticist works closely with the CMIO as a liaison between clinicians andinformation systems (IS) and will take a lead role in developing requirementsfor and implementing clinical technologies. The Nurse Informaticist willprovide strategic guidance to the organizations senior leadership regarding thematuration of the integrated EHR and the related technologies that supportquality and safety initiatives improve patient and family satisfaction andincrease the efficiency in the delivery of care and optimize clinician workflow. The Nurse Informaticist acts as an educational and clinical consultant toindividuals and groups internal and external to the department.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing-required; Master's degreepreferred.
