The Department of Neurology consists of over 50 faculty (Clinical and Research) with 8 Faculty recruitments for FY 19-20, 31 other academics, 15 residents, 10 fellows, and 7 volunteer faculty/ staff physicians with an annual budget of $23 million in restricted and unrestricted funding. Under general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the MSO is an integral part of the management team and is responsible for the oversight of the administration of finance, research, and the clinical operations of our clinics located in the community (currently 4), Medical Center, and Irvine Campus. In conjunction with the CAO, the incumbent will be responsible for development and implementation of long range planning, management, and supervision of administrative operations in support of its research, clinical service, and teaching operations. Assist in the development of strategic initiatives and carrying out strategic support initiatives and any other special projects as directed by the CAO. The MSO is responsible for the organization of work, supervision of administrative staff, budget development, financial control, business development, education program administration, process improvement and problem solving in the delivery of related program services of the department.
