We are seeking a self-motivated researcher to join our collaborative team. Our research assistants are an integral part of our Center and participate in multiple research projects lead by our Center\u2019s investigators. Some of our current projects include: \u2022 Development of artificial intelligence for medical devices to enable point-of-care diagnostics \u2022 Clinical trial for treatment of compartment syndrome injury with cell therapy and regenerative rehabilitation. \u2022 Clinical trial for using novel medical device for treatment of traumatic brain injury \u2022 Development of a hemostatic dressing device for minimally invasive applications
Functions and duties of this position include:
\u2022 Providing technical assistance on research projects as required, including the development of medical devices involving artificial intelligence algorithms. Assisting in the development of new methods and technologies, both in theory and in the laboratory. Annotating of ultrasound images, compiling and managing data sets, and assisting in coordination of data from multiple clinical sites as required.
\u2022 Assisting with writing and preparing comprehensive protocols and reports on research procedures and findings, including performing literature searches. Data entry, copyediting, assisting in compilation of research reference documents, assisting with generation of tables, figures & other items as required.
\u2022 Assisting with protocol and regulatory document management for both internal and external groups for pre-clinical, clinical and other grant-funded research.
\u2022 Assisting with the performance of surgical procedures, which may include pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care of animals and other follow-up activities. Duties may also include recording and maintaining records of surgical procedures, developing and organizing surgery procedure forms, data collection and recording gross observations before, during, and after surgery.
\u2022 Assisting with promotional materials for lab use, maintaining inventories of assorted lab equipment & surgical equipment as directed.
