Provides academic advising support for undergraduate or graduate students.
Answers questions from students and informs them of the academic policies and procedures of the university.
Prepares and reviews degree plans; reviews and monitors class audit rolls.
Reviews, evaluates, and distributes transcripts and petitions.
Enters student data into database on personal computer; produces reports from computer.
Receives petitions and routes to appropriate faculty and deans.
May assist in conducting orientation sessions for incoming students and in coordinating commencement excises.
Disseminates information and packages to prospective and currently enrolled students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school and 6 months experience
Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of six (6) months of directly job-related experience.
