The Department of Accounting within the College of Business at Central Washington University invites applications for a tenured chairperson at the Associate Professor or Professor level to begin January 1, 2020 (negotiable). Department chairs hold 10 month appointments and serve renewable four-year terms. In addition, chairs are provided a stipend and receive a summer appointment. The role is based in Ellensburg and serves students and faculty at the main campus and university centers co-located in Des Moines and Lynnwood. Some intercampus travel is required.
Doctorate in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution
A record of effective teaching, scholarly activity and service appropriate for tenure at the College of Business at CWU
Relevant academic leadership experience
Professional certification such as: CPA, CMA, CFE, CIA, CISA, JD or LLM
Accounting work experience and record of industry outreach (professional development events, accounting advisory board, fundraising)
Strong commitment to the College of Business and CWU university mission
Experience with graduate programs
Excellent leadership, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills
Experience with satellite campuses and university centers
