The Program Manager has wide-ranging responsibilities for ensuring the smooth operation of NYU’s program in Los Angeles, under the guidance of the Program Director. In this entrepreneurial program, the Program Manager will play a critical jack-of-all-trades role, demanding a proactive spirit, openness to rapid evolution and adaptation, strong attention to detail, and willingness to take on tasks large and small as circumstances require. The incumbent will coordinate NYU’s local entertainment and media industry internship program; manage access to and use of NYU’s space in Los Angeles, to include liaising with the building and residence management on facilities-related issues; coordinate events and co-curricular activities; coordinate and support move-in and move-out for students using NYU housing; assist students with a range of issues and connect them to appropriate local or remote resources; and complete other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position located at NYU’s program office in Los Angeles. Evening work may often be required, and standard work hours for the position may start later in the day.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience: Minimum 2-3 years experience in office administration, developing events and supervising staff.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Budget management.
Work experience in a higher education institution in academic administration, student services or student advisement. Experience in internship program management. Knowledge of facilities management. Experience in managing events. Business management expertise.
