The Clinic Nurse Manager plans, organizes, develops and manages overalldivision operations to ensure efficiency and continuity of quality patient care,including financial responsibilities, facility management and all activitiesrelative to staffing, work assignments, hiring/termination, performancereviews, orientation, and professional development. The Clinic Nurse Manager will assistdepartment management in developing and implementing new programs, long-rangeplans and organizational policies and procedures to help improve or maintaindepartment effectiveness and efficiency. The Clinic Nurse Manager will also have responsibility for thefollowing:
ï¿½Develops and communicates clear concise strategic objectives toDepartment Directors.
ï¿½Establishes necessary Division specific policies and proceduresthat support and advance Division objectives.
ï¿½Ensures that Division policies, procedures and practices complywith Baylor Scott & White Health policies and procedures.
ï¿½Ensures that services are provided in a timely, accurate,effective, and cost-efficient manner, and are in compliance with establishedpolicies, procedures, and practices.
ï¿½Prepares, administers and monitors the division budget to helpensure fiscal responsibility and compliance.
ï¿½Provides leadership and identifies and provides opportunities forthe division staff to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities needed tocontribute to the success of the division.
ï¿½Establishes a climate that promotes teamwork and encourages thedevelopment of all staff.
The ideal candidate for the Clinic Nurse Manager role will have excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills; the ability to assess operations with acritical, keen, approach; and is proactive with minimal guidance to problemresolution.
