The Director Entity Business Development creates formalized business development processes for Baylor as it contemplates adding or growing programs/services in new or existing markets. This position will research, assess, and develop business plans for new programs/services. Works with Hospital President, Executive Team, Board of Trustees and Medical Staff to identify growth opportunities. Facilitates positive and cooperative business interaction with key stakeholders in the target market.
Researches and assesses market for opportunities to expand existing programs/services or add new ones; identifies the needs of physician and their practices. Designs focused, effective plans which support all hospital products and service line areas and directs a well-organized approach for all business development activities.
Responsible for all business development, consistently meets or exceeds established goals; increases utilization of hospital service lines.
Manages the development of business development strategy and objectives; develops and implements annual plan for service line growth; participates in training, planning, and development of marketing support materials and education as needed.
Develops financial analysis and business plans to present to Executive Management Team.
Develops and maintains the means to integrate physicians with the facility for the purpose of improving care and developing new or existing programs/services.
Provides accurate and unbiased information concerning health care issues to elected officials and members of the business community in the target geographic area.
Interviews and provides ongoing communication to Business and Civic Leaders and Physicians in communities served by Baylor.
Develops and maintains an atmosphere of personalized service through individual contact with hospital staff, physicians, community/business leaders and influential residents in the target market.
Gathers health care market intelligence in primary market of facility and reports same to facility executives to assist in strategy development relative to market opportunities. Performs an analysis of the target market; develops and executes a plan of operation for defined markets.
Works with the Director of Marketing to develop specific methods to facilitate awareness about hospital programs/services for physicians resulting in sound marketing strategies to excel in the market.
Maintains a system of managing communication with clients; serves as internal contact for development of education for physician offices and other non-physician sources. Responsible for integration of existing data sources to establish and maintain a comprehensive physician database with ACT!.
Maintains consulting matrix relationship with BSWH regional services.
Facilitates new project and/or program development until formally approved.
Performs other duties as assigned to align/enhance physician relationship/business development activities of facility.
