The Supervisor of Non-Invasive Cardiology plans,organizes, and directs operational and financial activities of Non-InvasiveCardiology Department. Our Supervisor of Non-Invasive Cardiology develops,recommends, and implements policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Other responsibilitiesinclude:
Â§Interview,hire, train, counsel, evaluate, and recommend termination of assigned staff.
Â§Determinestaffing needs and scheduling requirements. Coordinate scheduling with staff
members, Physicians, and other departments as necessary.
Â§Developand implement in-service training and educational programs for staff.
Â§Develop,recommend, implement, and monitor capital and operating budgets for assigned
departments. Monitor expenses and explain variances.
Â§Ensurecompliance with applicable standards of Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and other regulatory requirements. Initiatecorrective
action as needed.
Â§Assesspatient needs for appropriate testing methodology. Contact Physician to discussany
necessary changes in prescribed testing procedures. Coordinate schedulingof Laboratory
procedures with Physicians.
Â§Performnon-invasive tests to determine diagnosis as ordered by referring physician.Explain
test procedure to patient and family.
Â§Preparetest results and graphs for interpreting Physician evaluation. Providepreliminary interpretation of test results to referring Physician.
Â§Direct,develop, and perform research projects.
Â§Directcontinuous quality improvement (CQI) activities in order to better servecustomer needs and improve quality of services.
The idealSupervisor of Non-Invasive Cardiology will have excellent leadership skills,written and verbal communications skills, and be able to work in a fast pacedenvironment.
Â§3 years experience
Â§Atleast 1 of the following certifications is required for the position: ARDMS(American Registry
For Diagnostic Medical Sonography), RCS (Registered CardiacSonographer), RN license.
