The Truckee Donner Public Utility District is a customer-owned electric and water utility located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains 15 miles north of Lake Tahoe. We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Lineman to join our team.
The Journeyman Lineman, under direct supervision, constructs, operates, and maintains the electric power systems within the District. Examples of essential duties and responsibilities include: constructing and maintaining primary and secondary overhead and underground electrical systems, installing poles, transformers, and other electrical equipment, installing service lines and metering equipment, and operating vehicles and equipment related to the electric industry.

Qualifications include successful completion of Electric Lineman Apprenticeship program, considerable knowledge and experience with power system facilities, principles and practices of electric power system operation and maintenance, the ability to read and interpret plans and construction documents, knowledge of safety standards, a Class A license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), CPR and First Aid certified, and the ability to climb power poles without use of man-lift equipment.
