The Office of Personnel in the School of Social Sciences at UC Irvine seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter to assist the Director of Personnel, senior leadership, faculty and staff and functions as liaison to various campus offices. As a member of the School of Social Sciences, the incumbent is tasked with upholding and exemplifying excellence in the University's core competencies-- job mastery, goal accomplishment, enterprise contribution and innovation-- while representing the Director, Dean and School to the campus. As Analyst of this highly efficient unit, with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality, responsibilities include: Facilitating and processing academic and staff appointments in the Payroll Personnel System (to be replaced by UC PATH December 2019); Analyzing and reviewing assigned academic personnel functions in the School of Social Sciences to include: recruitment, appointment, merit review, promotion, salary and benefit action, sabbatical, grievance, equal opportunity and affirmative action, layoff, compensation, training and development; Demonstrating understanding of the relevant campus and university personnel policies and procedures and collective bargaining agreements.

Salary: Range $23.58 - 27.82 Total Hours: 8-5, M-F Career Position. Additional working hours may be necessary to meet department goals and objectives. Other duties may be assigned.
