Position Summary: Reporting to the NICU Nurse Manager, the Equipment Aide is responsible for cleaning equipment and supplies; stocking and ordering unit supplies; operating hospital equipment as directed; maintaining an organized work environment; assisting with transportation of patients; answering telephones and locating personnel and visitors to the unit as appropriate and needed; and other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Ability to accurately take and record physical counts of inventoryAbility to learn (training provided) and successfully use various computer-based systems and programs such as TDS and Microsoft OutlookAbility to use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers and/or calculators for basic arithmetic calculationsBasic Life SupportMust be available to work overtime as patient care needs demandMust possess the skill, knowledge, and ability to read and communicate effectively in English
