Information Services Central Administration is recruiting for a Business Manager. This is a full-time 1.0 FTE, 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Executive Director.
The Business Manager will have overall responsibility for all business functions within a new, growing non-profit organization supporting public and non-profit entities in Oregon. This is a key position within the organization and you will work closely with the Executive Director to execute Link Oregon's mission.
This position is based for employment purposes at OSU, but will be located in Portland, Oregon.
The Oregon Fiber Partnership (OFP), the new underlying non-profit organization, supports the diverse research, education, healthcare and public service missions of its founding entities – Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Oregon State University (OSU), Portland State University (PSU), the University of Oregon (UO), and the State of Oregon (through the Office of the State Chief Information Officer or OSCIO). When the initial network deployments are completed in 2020, Link Oregon will consist of over 2,300 route-miles of lit optical fiber, a modern optronics platform with over 20 attachment points in cities across the state, an associated Ethernet transport platform, and an enhanced Internet service providing connectivity to the commercial Internet, local peering, and advanced research networks such as Internet2 and CENIC.

Reporting to the Executive Director for Oregon Link, the Business Manager has frequent interaction with Board members, including the Treasurer and Audit Committee Chair. The Business Manager must maintain professional, collaborative, and detail-based relationships with cognizant financial leads and supporting staff members at all Link Oregon founding entities. The position is based in Portland, Oregon and will require occasional travel, primarily to other locations within the Willamette Valley (Salem, Corvallis, and Eugene).
Typically requires Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' experience in management responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or four-year college in business, accounting or a related field
Five years of related business management experience
Demonstrated commitment to transparency, fiscal efficiency and stability, and maintenance of the organization’s reputation, trusted position, and non-profit status
Ability to operate discretely and in full compliance with the law and any applicable agreements on issues related to personnel and other non-disclosure matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Intuit Quickbooks or equivalent financial management platform
Experience with the tools within Microsoft Office Suite
Capable of performing remote and often self-directed work in close collaboration with team members
