Summary of Certified Medical Assistant Full Time days
Responsible for greeting and escorting patients to exam rooms, prepare patients for procedures and exams, assist with procedures, minor surgeries and exams. Collects specimens. Maintains a clean and well stocked work environment. Medical Assistant will provide education answers verbal and written questions of clients appropriately.
General Back office and Front office Medical Assistant skills.General computer knowledge, ability to type, answer phones, use a fax/copier machine, medical terminology and communication skills. Phlebotomy skills a huge plus. Good organization skills. Able to utilize decision-making skills. Self-motivated. Must possess knowledge of release of information guidelines. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff and outside vendors. Authorizations. Excellent customer Service skills required. Preference is a background in Nephrology/kidney but not required.
HOURS: 8a-5:30pm Mon thru Friday
The position requires sharing time between 2 clinics which are located onsite at the AZ Heart Campus and Arrowhead Campus.
Mon, Tues, Thurs at Heart Campus
Wed and Friday at Arrowhead Campus
Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program
Medical Assistance experience in primary care, OB, pediatric or IM, setting. This experience may include externships.
1 year of Medical Assistance experience in primary setting as well as office medical procedures and treatments.
When working in Occupational Health prefer experience in urgent care or occupational health setting.
