Full-time ophthalmology position available at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. This position is focused on the practice of medical ophthalmology (non-surgical) including laser procedures and other clinic-based procedures.
The Sacramento VAMC is affiliated with the UC Davis Hospital System, has state of the art operating rooms and is a modern full-service hospital. It serves as the sub-specialty referral center for eye conditions in Northern California. Responsibilities include: clinical care, resident supervision and training in the outpatient setting. There is dedicated technician support, on-site lasers, multiple imaging modalities, optometry, and an on-site optical shop. The department has on site fellowship trained specialists in the fields of cornea, glaucoma, uveitis and retina/vitreous. It is a friendly, rewarding environment, with appreciative patients.
We are seeking someone who is interested in providing excellent patient care, good organizational and administrative skills and is a team player. There are opportunities for teaching residents and taking more of a leadership role with tenure.

Tour of Duty: Variable – considerations for Part-Time and Full time will be considered, day shift with home call.
26 days paid vacation (1 day accrued each pay period upon employment)

Competitive Salary ($250,000-$275,000)
