We are a growing small animal practice in Lakewood CO seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to help lead our well-established practice into the next phase of growth.
We are looking for a passionate leader with excellent time management, follow through and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be working with an exceptionally experienced team of highly motivated and service oriented professionals.
As the Practice Manager:
You will mentor, develop and lead a mix of 12+ hourly and professional team members to excel and become a successful team focused on patient care.
You will partner with and oversee the doctor team, medical team, and client service representatives, guiding them to the next level of development.
You will guide the financial and strategic business development to achieve hospital profitability
You will oversee and manage patient medical records. You will expertly handle the primary care DVMs and patient referral base with a high level of sensitivity
You will be responsible for client service, including client communication, education, interaction, grief protocol, patient and staff comfort, community involvement, including participation in fundraising and charity events. You will develop intra-staff relationships with a command of HR-related issues and state, federal, local legal compliance of relevant employment law.
You will manage and maintain medical supplies and equipment
You will supervise all facility and maintenance activities to ensure that practice medical standards are met
You will consistently support the practice's mission and inspire others' commitment to the practice's mission.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Certification in Veterinary Practice Management
Experience: 3-5 years of proven success in managing professionals in a rapid paced, dynamic environment either within veterinary/human medicine, hospitality, or client services industries.
Excellent time management, follow through and organizational skills
Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously, giving great attention to detail
Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to take direction from senior leadership
Ability to completely maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
Skilled in the use of veterinary management software including Cornerstone and Impromed (Infinity)
