ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Provides overall management and direction to one or more social service or behavioral health programs. 2. Provide direction and oversight on structure of services and reimbursements for all contracts and manage delivery of services to meet the contractual performance and fiscal commitments. This includes proactive outreach, attending meetings, and maintaining a positive relationship with officials and agencies with who the program contracts or may potentially contract. 3. Participate in preparation of budgets and effectively manage to budget. 4. Management of all clinical and resource services offered, through ongoing monitoring and evaluation of services. 5. Ensure that clinical case reviews and supervision are conducted in accordance with BBS requirements. 6. Participate in the Performance & Quality Improvement (PQI) process and service data tracking to ensure the highest service efficacy from goal setting, overseeing data gathering and analysis, and implementing changes to improve results. 7. Participate in ongoing opportunities for improving and growing services according to community needs; follow emerging trends for best practice in clinical treatment, education and resource navigation, and assess availability of new funding sources. 8. Ensure all required records meet compliance standards and are maintained securely, including client records and general statistics for planning and billing purposes and for input into the agency database. 9. Ensure smooth function of client reception, handling of appointments and, functional premises. 10. Oversee hiring, development and performance management of program staff. 11. Maintain a utilization review system with documentation at the highest standards meeting the agency’s recoupments limit of less than 2%. 12. Maintain a schedule of individual and regular staff meetings to ensure that all agency and program news is appropriately cascaded and ensure interaction with all levels of staff. 13. Participate in agency-wide activities such as monthly leadership meetings, acting to report on and represent your program, but also on behalf of the agency as a whole. 14. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS 1. A PhD, PsyD, or Master’s degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field. 2. Previous experience as a program director, preferably in a non-profit agency. 3. Current LCSW or MFT license in the State of California preferred. 4. Comprehensive, working knowledge and understanding of child development, behavioral health family systems, child welfare systems, juvenile court systems, substance use disorder services and other community need services. 5. Comprehensive understanding of Drug Medi-Cal requirements and regulatory expectations. 6. Excellent leadership and communication skills. 7. Understanding of and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse population. 8. Demonstrate ability to manage people and systems, and work collaboratively with Administration, other agency programs, and external stakeholders.
