The Theatrical Electrician II, is responsible for operating and maintaining all lighting and electrical equipment within the Special Event Facilities.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years in the maintenance and operation of electrical equipment in a theater complex.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Education and Experience:
Completion of a federally certified electrician apprentice program.
Operates an electrical lighting control and sound board during performances
Installs and maintains electrical wiring and theatrical lighting systems
Installs, maintains, and repairs electric motors, generators, and simple electrical equipment
Provides and operates additional electrical equipment as needed for special University functions and assists with general event set up.
Trains part-time/occasional employees. Provides work assignments and indirect supervision of student workers.
Performs quick emergency repairs requiring total familiarity with lighting and electrical equipment. Performs other duties as assigned
