Position Summary: Designs, configures and implements an approved web-based enterprise system: ICAMP (Integrated Capital Asset Management Program) with initial data population focused on inventory and condition assessment of capital assets. Applies a wide-ranging experience to manage projects, up to and including the most complex projects with system-wide impact. Leads projects that have little or no precedent where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Considered a subject matter expert in systems implementation. Collaborates with stakeholders at UC campuses, med centers and locations to establish and implement a capital asset inventory and condition assessment database system and initial data input.

Duty 1: Applies complex and advanced project management techniques to implement capital asset inventory and condition assessment database for all UC locations and facility needs. Directs and analyzes project proposals and reports. Manages systems and tools that support facility operations. Function:Project Management Percent: 20
Duty 2: Manages the project management process centrally and the implementation process system-wide. Collaborates with functional units at UC locations to assure system activation, data integration, and initial data entry. Function:Process Implementation Percent: 20
Duty 3: Documents design requirements; data integration; report generation; test cases and scenarios to reflect implementation process and system functions and operations. Creates comprehensive training materials, including a pocket reference guide for field technicians, and a master user guide to support the needs of various users, Basic to Power. Function:Documentation Percent: 20
Duty 4: Develops data cleansing, normalization, migration and validation framework for on-boarding new and legacy data into off-the-shelf software, integrated with Uniformat data criteria and cost estimating software. Function:Framework Development Percent: 20
Duty 5: Directs, initiates and designs project elements critical to system implementation. Has overall project management responsibility for ICAMP project. Oversees all aspects of project from initiation through delivery including system integration, communications, interacting with vendors and campus stakeholders. Organizes project tasks and schedule with the goal of completing the project on schedule and within budget constraints. May lead a team of technical project management professionals. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Requires basic knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
Requires ability to assess campus, medical center or Office of the President needs for information technology products and design services to meet those needs.
Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives.
Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies. Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.
