University Facilities, Infrastructure & Operations is seeking a Outreach and Education Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Associate Vice President.
Communication Services supports University Facilities Infrastructure and Operations' (UFIO) key goals of transparency, engagement, outreach and customer service. As the outreach and education program coordinator of UFIO, this person will be an integral member of the Communication Services team and support the efforts of the unit by providing outreach and education planning, programming and implementation on and off the Corvallis campus to diverse audiences. This position will assist by bringing strategic thinking and planning to the policies, governance, promotion and communications within the unit.
UFIO supports Oregon State University's land grant mission by overseeing the design and development, land use planning, real estate and space management needs for OSU's built environments; by designing, constructing, maintaining, and supporting safe, comfortable, sustainable, and efficient facilities; by providing safe, sustainable transportation programs and services; and by providing excellent customer service for the University. UFIO consists of the following units: Capital Planning and Development, Facilities Services, Specialized Administrative Services and Transportation Services.
Typically requires Bachelor's Degree in field relevant to program focus. May require certification or licensure as appropriate to the position.
Bachelor's degree in field related to the discipline of the unit.
Beyond entry level experience providing administrative support for one of the following: outreach; education; information storage, curation and retrieval.
Proficient with email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Experience developing communication materials.
Experience organizing and facilitating outreach or education and training programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment and experience promoting and enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
This position typically works in an office environment with extended periods working on the computer. Occasional attendance to on-campus and off-campus sites as related to community outreach including evening meetings.
