This Senior Capital Accountant positionâ��s primary responsibilities include:
Supporting the Capital Accountants as they perform various areas of the capital accounting close for their assigned group of hospitals/facilities
Monitoring each Capital Accountantâ��s Maintain Asset Interface File review to ensure our facilities are closing capital projects appropriately and our Capital Accountants are reviewing thoroughly
Coordinating all acquisitionsâ�� opening asset balance entries until the assets are uploaded into the fixed asset system
Distributing projects for closing corporate, physician practice IT and outpatient clinic capital projects and reviewing monthly reports to ensure completeness and accuracy
Working closely with personnel at the facilities and our corporate departments to provide support and respond to questions relating to corporate asset transfers, and acquisitions/divestitures
The position will be responsible for (1) preparing/recording/reviewing capital accounting related journal entries, (2) preparing and reviewing account reconciliations to ensure appropriate support for the specific accounts associated with these activities has been obtained, (3) preparing schedules for audit and tax purposes and (4) other projects or analyses that may arise. The position will also assist in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to improve processes.
Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong computer skills required, including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
