Responsible for providing leadership and direction to ensure the safety of the workforce, provide quality and efficiency, monitor crew performance, ensure continuity between crews, MSHA compliance and administer company policies as they relate to assigned personnel.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Advanced technical or engineering degree(s) or equivalent related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Advanced organizational and project management skills.
Practical knowledge of mining or heavy industrial equipment maintenance.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with all stakeholders, vendors and trades in a professional manner.
Positive outlook and ability to effectively perform multi-task work.
Ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team.
Ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment.
Ability to identify, analyze and effectively address complex issues.
Strong computer skills with a willingness to quickly learn and master new software and systems. Advanced computer skills a plus.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience and practical knowledge of mining or heavy industrial equipment maintenance.
Minimum five (5) years previous leadership experience.
Valid driver’s license required.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is primarily required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is exposed to moderate level of noise. May be exposed to working around heavy surface coal mining equipment and surface coal mining operations conditions. Majority of duties are performed indoors primarily at a desk.
