GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES :
Assembles, delivers and retrieves patient, physician and customer food service meals and nourishments. Possesses knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards and regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Examines diet orders and menus received from patients and prepare a tally of specific foods to be prepared in the kitchen.
Understands modified diets, resources for non typical modified diets, tube feeding/baby formula diet order handling and preparation.
Interacts with patient and caregivers, providing optimum service without compromising dietary restrictions and production demands.
Demonstrates a clear understanding of the importance of time sensitive aspects of patient, physician and customer meal service.
Demonstrates a clear understanding of HACCP regulation regarding proper sanitation in washing hands, changing gloves and use of sanitized water.
Setups and cleans physician lounge related to food and nutrition services.
Minimum Requirements :
Education : High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Work Experience
License : N/A
Certification : Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
Experience : Hospital Food Service or Customer Service Experience required
