Who We Are
International Student Services (ISS) facilitates international students’ admittance to the United States, assists international students’ transition to life in the United States and at Texas A&M University, promotes interactions between U.S. and international populations, and provides services necessary to meet the needs of international students. ISS represents the University with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, and the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
What We Want
ISS is looking for an International Student Advisor I to provide immigration document processing services and advising to over 6,000 currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate international students. We need an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. Respect for people of diverse backgrounds in all interactions is imperative to our department and University, especially when working with international students. The successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in understanding federal, agency, and University regulations and procedures regarding international students. Time management, flexibility, meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a motivated self-starter are all crucial for success in this position. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident as required by federal regulations for certification as a Designated School Official and Alternate Responsible Officer.
