Clinical: Majority of time will be spent clinically in general clinical cardiology and interventional cardiology. The general clinical cardiology duties include ambulatory clinics and up to 8 weeks (generally 2 weeks each rotation) serving as an attending physician on the inpatient cardiology services (CCU or consult). Serving as an attending in our outreach programs may also be required depending on availability and the divisional needs. Work schedule may include some nights and weekends.
Research: If you participate in clinical or basic research, your clinical FTE will be adjusted based on the salary you receive from these endeavors. We expect you to collaborate with your colleagues in clinical research and develop a portfolio of clinical research activities that are funded from extramural sources (industry or peer-reviewed grants).
Education: As teaching is an important portion of the cardiology mission, you will be responsible for the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
