The incumbent serves as Executive Assistant to multiple Abdominal/Thoracic section faculty including the Abdominal/Thoracic Section Chief, Director of MRI, Director of CT, Associate Residency Program Director and back-up to the Academic Personnel Coordinator. The incumbent is responsible for the daily operations of the Abdominal/Thoracic Section that include, but are not limited to: Independently organize meetings, calendaring, CV/Dossier updates, grant proposal preparation, manuscripts preparation, coordinating conferences/lectures schedules, clinical activities, and make travel arrangements.REQUIRED -Professional experience performing complex administrative support to faculty. -Experience using various software programs such as Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheet, databases, PowerPoint).-Experience managing electronic calendars and schedules, and details of meetings and large, complex events in a high volume environment.-Experience with travel and entertainment arrangements, and with reimbursements systems.-Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.-Proven organizational and time management skills establishing goals, prioritizing and coordinating multiple work assignments and deadlines. efficiently despite frequent interruptions, maintaining composure under a heavy workload, conflicting priorities or difficult callers or visitors.-Demonstrated ability to follow through on details, providing all necessary and required documentation.-Proven ability to use independent judgment and make effective decisions based on knowledge of campus and University priorities, resources, and policies.PREFERRED -Knowledge of UCD Health System and Campus policies and procedures related to the position -Experience working in an Academic institution or large integrated health system experience.
