Do you want to work with a team that’s focused on cooperation and service? San Miguel Power Association, Inc. (SMPA) is seeking to fill the position of Executive Assistant. This position will report and work directly with the Chief Executive Officer/General Manger. The successful applicant will report to our office in Ridgway, Colorado and will get to travel throughout the picturesque SMPA territory. SMPA is a non-profit electric cooperative with an 80-year record of service to our membership. The office includes a positive atmosphere and a friendly staff ready work with you.
Minimum requirements include: A High School diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred but not required. Demonstrated skills in all office procedures, equipment, and administrative functions. Expertise in Microsoft Office and Adobe software. Expertise in records keeping and filing systems required. Must demonstrate professional verbal communication, interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette. Report writing, impeccable organizational skills, and attention to detail are necessary. Experience in event planning is a plus. Must be able represent the co-op in a progressive, positive, and professional manner in all relationships, both internal and external. Experience keeping legal minutes and preparing informational packets for meetings preferred. Experience in human resources administration, is a plus. Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license. San Miguel Power has a 4-10 work schedule and offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
