About the Position
As part of the marketing and communications team, the Contract Digital Marketing Coordinator assists in implementing digital marketing strategies and initiatives under the communication and marketing umbrella. The ideal candidate will be excited to turn our marketing ideas into successful and beautiful digital marketing assets, emails and landing pages. This candidate will be comfortable updating our Wordpress website on a daily basis, implementing basic landing pages, building emails, and gathering
content from our clients. We need a finisher with good marketing instincts who implements the strategies our team delivers.
Essential Functions of the Job
Carry out automated marketing initiatives
Assist with design and implement email marketing campaigns, web pages and assist with website updates and automation support
Report analytics on marketing communications
Design & Creative
Participate in brainstorming and campaign development sessions
Assist with curating photos on outdoorindustry.org and OIA social networks to support content and campaigns
Assist with capturing photos and videos at events
Create engaging email headers and easy to read emails with clear CTAs
Assist in with photo curation, event content capture and link tracking for social marketing campaigns
Design email templates for marketing campaigns, automated communications, and nurture campaigns using email marketing best practices and trends
Assemble and distribute marketing emails and digital communications
Execute drip and nurture campaigns
Maintain and advise internal clients on email marketing best practices and opportunities to achieve goals of campaigns
Assist with responding to digital support requests, updating outdoorindustry.org, editing content and creating new pages through Wordpress.
Assist with SEO and usability best practices.
About the Work Environment
Non-smoking, fast-paced, outdoors-oriented
Ability to stand, bend and lift packages up to 25 lbs
Knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform job.
Expert knowledge in: Photoshop and HTML
Strong knowledge in Wordpress, Marketing Automation Platform (preferably Pardot), Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with SalesForce, CSS, Dreamweaver, Illustrator
Required Education and Experience
BA/BS degree in digital media, new media, marketing, graphic design or related field
A minimum of 2 years of digital marketing experience within a professional environment
A minimum of 2 years of email marketing experience within a professional environment
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in the outdoor industry is a bonus
Telecommuting is allowed.
